What is this ? |
Description: |
This is some type of warning signal from years past. If you look at the telephone pole, near the bottom, you see an off coplored box with power. The power goes to the top portion of the pole to a reel; where the power cord comes out of the reel and goes along the boom and down to the light fixture. You can see on the right side of the pole, a greenish colored line, this is a small linked chain to raise and lower the light. The picture is from the back side of it. Can anyone guess its use? I'm not real sure other than it was lower years ago by a railroad employee, before there were crossing gates there. |
