| This arched doorway is where the Pinehurst Trolley used to operate out of. The building itself is part of the now defunct power plant. Coil and fuel oil were used in the plant to supply the hotels and ceratin homes in Pinehurst with steam heat. In the wonters, we as kids could tell where the steam lines ran all through town, by the nice warm steam coming out of ground boxes. |
