Description:  CSX 35 sits "Dead Right There" at the end of another empty ACW grainer. You can see the rail sticking out of the gravel pile, this 'was' the S line pass track that ran from North Hamlet Yard, through Aberdeen and ended kust North of Southern Pines. This is the end of the ACW Delivery Track nowdays. About enough room for 35 cars.

Description:  ACW crews struggle with a short cut of grain loads as they pull up 50.4 hill. Neither unit had sand... as CSX left the sanders on over night. He stalled twice in this picture setting. Finally made it up and moved on outta town.

The crew had to stop on the left, get all their gear off the CSX 574, carry it all up to the 434, cut away from the cars on the right, then come out on the main to get solid with 614. Then come in to the right and pick up the 8 cars from 618. What an afternoon for that crew.

This was involved in a head-on collision with another coal train in Boykin Va. The shop foreman says it is either going to Waycross or Pregress Rail in Patterson Georgia.
